Our Health Program
Health Program
At KOBAGA, we're dedicated to improving the health and well-being of vulnerable rural women, children and youth. Our health program focuses on reducing maternal and neonatal deaths and Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) for young people by increasing access to essential health services. Our programs are aligned with SDG 3 and government health policies.
Maternal and Child Health Care (MCHC): We implement activities that enable women to access MCHC and Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH+N) services.
1. Medical Health Camps: Through Medical health camps, we partner with government health centres in the target districts to provide Antenatal Care, Counseling, and health education to pregnant women.
2. Skilled delivery: During health camps, we encourage pregnant women to access skilled attendance at birth.
3. Postnatal care: We encourage lactating mothers to honor their clinical appointment days so that they receive the necessary care both for mothers and newborns after delivery.
Sexual Reproductive Health Services:
Our program provides:
1. Family planning: We provide access to family planning information and services through health education.
2. HIV counseling and testing: During medical health camps we provide free HIV counseling and testing services to young people, women and men.
3. Reproductive health education: Health education on reproductive health and rights for young people so that we deter early and unwanted pregnancies, acquiring HIV, and STIs.
Partnerships: We partner with government health centers and other organizations to ensure comprehensive care.
Nutrition counseling: Guidance on proper nutrition for mothers and children.
4. Referrals: Referrals to government health centers for further care. Get Involved: To learn more about KOBAGA's health program and how to get involved, contact us today. Together, we can improve the health and well-being of vulnerable rural women and children.
